Where would I pick up some good, strong tow ropes/straps???

    I was looking at these.

If I was smart I would have picked some up at the off-road jamboree when it was in Indy. The bank account/girlfriend said I didnt need any. What happens today??? Get a call asking if I can pull someone that wanted to "see how he could do" off road.

I've got 3 of the ProComp 30k 3" x 30' straps with leather bound loops. One of the nicest straps out IMO, just don't let them foist some off their cheaper straps on you as "just as good". The silverish colored ProComps with leather wrapped ends is the only way to go for an inexpensive strap.

But if you want to get really serious, get a tow strap made from "synthetic winch rope". Rock Stomper and others will make you a "tow rope" to your specifications, but it'll cost ya.

pro comp is great. and best part in my book is the ends fit perfect in to the 2" recivers with the pin in just like a hitch. i use them for recovery duty with my mud trucks. waytogo

Same strap I use with my Samurai. Get a couple of shackles also.
