When I picked up my truck last weekend there was a little wiring harness in the glove box. The Sales person said it was for hooking up trailer brakes to the stock wiring. Does anyone here know what he's talking about? Do I wire my trailer brake controller to that harness and plug it in someplace?

you wire that harness in then wire your controller to that harness. my Brakesmart i bought a plug and play harness. still have the factory deal in the glove box.

    trailer brake hook up

when you get a brake controler --not prewired then you use it to plug into your wiring harness. the harness conector is under your dash, just above the parking brake

yeah i bought a prodigy and it came with the harness that plugs into the stock truck harness... but if i wouldn't have had that part, i would have had to use the one that came with the truck
