My auto in my Cummins has started to have a life of it's own lately. It's having some issues with shifting between 1st & 2nd. It always shifts but it seems like it is starting to surge now. I know the older model trannies had band adjustments on them but I just don't know about the newer ones. The truck only has 60,000 miles on it now and I only pull a 14,000lb fifth wheel a couple of times of year. I don't tear up the truck either. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you need a tranny service and band adjustment. Your going to need an inch pound (1/4 drive) torque wrench if your going to do it yourself.
