What's the longest you have gone before you HAD to adjust the bands in your trans?

As long as it takes for it to slip. Bands aren't really all THAT critical to worry about unless the transmission is slipping. Its not a bad idea to adjust them, but its not something to worry abut doing every 20-30K or anything.

Mine started having a 1-2 shift problem today. Then I realized I hadn't adjusted the bands in 35K+ miles. Last time was when I installed the goerend bros VB/TC setup. Thats been 1.5 years ago and a fair amount of towing. So I will do a flush/filter/band adjustment this weekend. I usually stay on top of my maint, just been real busy lately. The trans has almost 175K miles on it.

Yes he does and his customer service is EXCELLENT! I was in a jam when my TC fried, about to leave on vacation for 2 weeks to florida pulling my camper. Dave got the info, built the vb/tc and had it at my door in 2 days. Knowing I was working on the truck late that night to get it going. Dave calls me very late to make sure it was going well and to answer any questions. He has customer for life! When I first bought the truck I was regreting buying one with an auto trans. Being I was use to High performance automatic transmissions. Dave set me up and I'm all smiles ear to ear now. waytogo
