Has anyone had any problems with the electronic transfer case. I am looking at buying a newer truck to replace my '03. I can't stand the auto any longer. The '06 I am looking at has one and I don't want it to fail on me when I need it.

I haven't had any issues with mine, but it makes no sense to me to have a manual transmission and electric t case. Thats just odd right there.

My last 2 trucks had the electric transfer and work great. Especially, on roads with patchy ice or snow. No problems in 41/2 years so far on this one. My last truck with manual was a pain to get it in and out.

It's funny how some guys are trying to get rid of auto for 6-speed and some the other way around. :) Any, best of luck with your new truck.
    I would mind having a 6-speed.
