Perhaps you could add a Truck Profile section to the UserCP. If your signature length is limited, this would be a place where users could list their modifications in depth.

The Replies to a thread are indicated as replying to the previous poster. This isn't necessarily true and is useless "information". In general, I don't chat in a thread, I just attempt to contribute to the subject. If I really am replying to another poster, then I would address that member and probably quote the salient portion of the comment to which I am replying.

    Thanks,
    Neil

I can add a truck specs section to the profile.
I wouldn't call the reply feature useless info, to many times a thread ends up in a "were you replying to me" kind of thing.

    in reply to

Maybe I just don't know how to use the "in reply to " feature to make it meaningful. It makes sense if you are genuinely replying to a specific post without bothering to quote the poster. However, if you are replying to the post in general, addressing the subject not a previous poster, then having the "in reply to" function default to the previous poster is innacurate if not misleading.

As a test, in this post, I clicked the Reply button on my original post, not coloradok5's response. The intent is to see if I can indicate "in reply to" myself, which seems kind of ridiculous. (Not that I don't talk to myself ;) )

It looks like you figured out how to use it. I use the "reply to" feature on almost every post. I find it very usefull when you are responding to the original question of a thread, and when responding to just a certain person. Sometime 2 or maybe three guys will get a discussion going together in a certain thread while many other people continue to post regarding an original question. I hardly ever use PM's unless it's personal, I like asking questions to a given person by using the "reply to" feature and many times that will gain me info from more people than just that person.

    Steve,

Why did you remove the "reply to" feature? I thought that was a good option.
