The proceeds of the event go to children's charities. Such as children with disability's. The truckers have always been the best for coming out to support these eventswaytogo

We've had Truckin' for kids here at Famoso drag strip here in Bakersfield for two years now and it is a blast to watch the big trucks run. I always make sure to bring somebody who has never seen diesel drags and watch their jaws hit the ground while I laugh my @$$ off. My two little girls love it every year.

Twenty five plus years ago when they first put the event on at LACR that was great entertainment, especially when the super trucks would burn out before the first run of the day. I got a kick out of the people laughing about they're burns outs, that all changed after they saw the times and speeds they were obtaining. I didn't see many surprised fans at Famoso, maybe that's because it's Tommy Martins home track one of the fastest semi's around?[IMG] The fans got wise as the years went by, but I suspect that we should see some new jaws dropping this year with the events first time at Fontana, be sure to bring your camerarotfl
