I have a 2004.5 automatic with bd converter, valvebody and flex plate. Will that be enought to hold the tst box or will i need to upgrade even more?
That will depend heavily how much you plan to do with the TST. On the lower settings it will hold fine, but if you want to turn the TST up or run the twins programming for more bottom end you will eventually have to do an input shaft. If you get rough with it, boosted launches, 4x4 launches, you can easily break an input shaft, then the next one to go is the output shaft. You are going to have some egts with that tuner turned way up, so airflow upgrades are needed. Its a slippery slope that can be much more painless if you build it right the first time.
I have a bullydog and ts mp-8 stacked but i am actually wanting to get a way from stacking boxes and the tst is what i was looking at.I do a fair amount of towing and the every now and then drag race.
Ok, well like I posted, it will hold, but you just can't be cranking it up. It will be good for you to get the Bullydog/TS stack out of there. Both are fairly aggressive with pressure and thats a recipe for disaster if you overdo it on the MP8.
What do u think about the smarty programmer i have heard there pretty good but thats all i have heard?
They run great! Lots of options, you can dial it in for what you need. If you want to run it on the higher levels you still need to upgrade. AND NO TNT R PROGRAM WITHOUT HEAD UPGRADES!!!!!!
