Is there anyone out there running the TST powermaxcr on their 04.5 to 06 ctd? Looking for some input. I want a power adder that doesn't increase rail pressure. The hardest thing to find out is how all these aftermarket companies are increasing the power output on the cummins. Injector timing, duration, rail pressure? I just want reliable and usable power. How about the Quadzilla? Anyone running this? Thanks, Travis

I have the TST and it is insane. It can make a small increase in power and a big impact on economy and it can make a huge impact on both. Awesome chip to run! And it does have an adjustable rail pressure control so if you want to ramp it up a little you can.

I have the TST PowerMax, and if that's what your looking for; more "usable" power w/o melting the turbo, this is it.
When I was shopping for extra power I happen to read an aticle in the TDR mag where the writer was testing the TST and other power venders. Getting more power through making the motor perform more efficiently, vs just forcing more fuel into the system really appealed to me.
Now milage, HP, and torque are up, EGT's are down (running econ mode 2/2, 0 increased fuel press, and boost limited to 35) I figure I'm getting around 315/710 at the rear wheels.

what kind of mileage are you seeing? what are your rpms with the gear vendor in overdrive(overdrive+ vendor) at 65? sounds like a neat combination. does the vendor go between the tranny and transfer case or after the t-case?

I've had the TST in for about 3 mos. Milage up about 9 tenths, I know-not that much. I just can't resist mashing it all the time. The extra power is like a drug. If I drove like a "normal" person, I'm sure it would be much better.
Also, I've not driven the truck that much since I installed it (425 miles) so not enough to really know.
On the GV subject; I had it installed 2 weeks ago. That raised milage another 3 tenths with about 125 miles on so far. At 65, RPM's are about 1600, yeh, lugging it. At 70, RPM's are 1750. Before installation, she was turning @ 2250. What a huge difference this mod has made. This truck flys now with hardly any noise or vibes from high RPM.

LOVE my Van Aaken Smart box C3.2. it does duration only, is selectable while driving and is SIMPLE to instal. might want to check it out. price is good as well.

with JUST the VA C3.2 i put down 385 HP and 691lbs of TQ at the rear wheels...

74; Yeah, the VA box was my 2nd choice, but the EGT's were high on the perfomance box comparison tests done by TDR, so opted for the TST. But tests also showed that the VA ROCKED!!!

yeah, EGT is high on the high setting, but with no cat and a aero turbine 4040 shorty i can bang through 5 gears till i need to back out of it...

im going to stack both VA boxes once i get a new turbo... should be AWESOME then... 9 power levels!!
