Currently in the market for a new aftermarket turbo, but the few vendors I've talked to have told me that there's little chance I'll find an aftermarket turbo that will fit and work with the turbo mounted PRXB I've got. Anyone have any insight or experience with this?

Not interested in losing the pac-brake as it has been the best mod I've done to the truck and towing out here in CA wouldn't be fun without it.

Currently looking at a turbo in the 62/12 or 62/13 flavor.

I would be looking more at a 62/13 or 62/14. The CR motors flow plenty of air to spool a 62. The 62/12 is focused mainly towards the 12v trucks.

As for the turbo, I know that the brake will physically bolt up to the back of a BD Super B single, but the turbo's longer length will not allow the brake to clear the firewall. Basically, I think you need to find a new home for your current brake so you can get a remote mounted brake and use which ever turbo or turbos you like.

    Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately, I'm not really interested in relocating my exhaust brake and if I can't fit an aftermarket turbo without doing that I guess I'll stick with my stocker. Bummer......

I had the same problem with my Jacobs Brake as it is also turbo-mount. High Tech Turbo has their HTB2 in either 62/12/65 (like mine) or 62/14/65. Supposedly, Industrial Injection's Phat Shaft 62 turbos will also work (with the Jake anyway) The clearance between the Brake/4" downpipe to the fire wall is close, but it does fit. Not sure if the Pac's dimensions are that much different than the Jake. If need be, a little firewall massaging with a hammer could supply the needed clearance.
