U joints

    I have a 2004 3500 srw QC cumminis 4x4 with an automatic i have to replace u joints fairly often.The dealership replaces them but i was wondering if anyone knows of after market one that might last longer.

    Check with napa. I know for the chevy I had there were tougher ones.

    Get some from NAPA like posted, and make sure you get the ones that need grease occasionally. Personally, I am not a fan of these lifetime lubricated u joints. Use a good, quality grease. I use Amsoil Series 2000 Racing Grease here in the shop for all drive line servicing.

    Look for a brand name joint, like Spicer. Those are the good ones. The cheap ones are, well, cheap.

    CMT I think makes some ujoints with a lifetime warranty on them...
