People of tow rig, I have a 03/2500/4x4/cummins/HO/6 speed/65 hp exillaraider tow module/4in exhaust/AFE stage 2. Before you start on how much of a piece of s*&! my module is, I didn't buy it, it was free from a buddy that total lost his truck in a accident, he is OK anyway. I have my own opinion on the best performance product but before I state it I would like to now some different opinions because I will admit I have been wrong more than once. What do you consider as the best performance product that will not damage any stock component? :doah:
I just put the exillaraider on my truck and I have to agree with you on its quality.That one replaced the edge that I had nothing but bad luck with.So as far as the best parts ? But I can tell you what not to use the two just mentioned.Also I just put ispro gauges on and they are great.The 5'' B D exhaust that just went on sounds real good and works good but was a pain to put on hangers in wrong place down pipe flange to small etc.All the other parts on my truck have worked perfectly.Listed on signature.
I put a Bully Dog powerpup and outlook monitor on an 05 3500 Dodge and it ran real good. It's got some nice saftey features built in. Did I say it ran real good? That Crazy Larry program just whent nuts! You couldn't shift fast enough!
Sorry to hear you had fitting problems with the exhaust, would like to hear more about the flange and hanger issues? I bought the system from south west diesel in AZ and I think they sold me the wrong one.I did call them and they told me that B D did not make a turbo back for my truck 2004.5.The problem I had was that the down pipe did not fit at all the flange that couple's to the turbo is to small and the hanger is to small and in the wrong place. The tubing second after the down pipe was to long (had to shorten it).Hanger on the muffler are in the rite general area but I had to bend to get to work.The last hanger on the last tube rite place wrong Angel and to small for O.E. mount.The part # that I got is BD 1045955.Your input would be great thanks Bob.
South West Diesel is a great distributor for us and has been for a long time, in their defence it amazes me they got that kit on did they get the downpipe to work or are you just running the cat back portion of the kit? That is the P/N is for the 03/04 Dodge's, the turbo outlet size changes in 2004.5, that's why you have fitting issues with the turbo flange and hangers. We did only offer a turbo back system for that truck but will have full turbo to tail stainless kits arriving this month. With most exhaust kits you need to shorten the intermediate pipe because the kits are made for the longest wheelbase... crew-cab, long-box's that pipe needs to be shortened if you have a short-box or reg cab etc...
I put the kit on my self and I had to use the stock down pipe with the rest of the kit .My truck is a long bed quad cab and if I was able to use the down pipe the kit would have been about 10'' to long.Why are you only going to offer a stainless kit for 04.0 and up I live in AZ and don't need it. We don't get that much weather and I don't care if my exhaust is shiny.So if you at bd see it you heart to get with David at south west diesel and get me a down pipe that will work on my truck it would be great since I payed for a turbo back system.Thank Bobwaytogo
We are still offering the aluminized kits, but the stainless kits we are getting are comparable in pricing to the aluminized kits, if given a choice for the same price most are going to pick the stainless kits. When the stainless kits arrive I will see what I can do about getting you a downpipe. Touch base with me around the end of march. waytogo
