Is it just the suspension? My bud and I had a duscussion last night about this and I wasn't sure?? He said there was a bigger Cummins in the 1 ton, but I am pretty damn sure they aren't any bigger than the one in my 2500.

    School me please:popcorn:

A bigger Cummins....rotfl Next time tell your friend that he is right and it's an ISX that is in the 1 tons, and that he needs to spread the word.:stir:

There is nothing different between a single rear wheel 3500 and a 2500 except for one extra leaf in the rear packs and maybe a slightly heavier frame, maybe. I think the brakes and drivetrain on these newer trucks are identical. Having dual rear wheels is the biggest gain of a 3500 chassis.

In the vintage of my truck, if you ordered a 2500 with the manual trans it basically was a 3500 without dual wheels.

Frame is the same, everything is the same except the addition of overload springs for the 1 ton.

He could be correct if he is refering to the new 3500 chassis cab. The 2007 model is a 6.7 L Cummins.

The 6.7 is going to be in a 3500 cab and chassis model.

Weak, thanks to good 'ol smog equipment. It's the early 80's all over again, except this time it's an all out smog equipment junk collection on diesels instead of gas engines.
