I would LOVE to see a F250-350 Cummins option. I guess I'll wait for Dodge to screw up and put the Mercedes engine into their JUNK then pray for Ford to do the right thing and give Navistar the BOOT! waytogo

As would I. Mine 6bt will be in my 99 SD in the next few weeks. It sure would be sweet to have one in from the factory though. While the PSD has been very good to me, the 6bt will be even better. :pimp:

Are you installing a 12valve or a 24valve. Wouldn't it be cool to have the Allison 5spd auto as well. Are you doing your own work on the swap? Take lots of pictures and keeps tuned in. Have you seen that body style with a 6bt in it? The reason I'm asking is due to the A/C compressor location on the engine to frame interference. I had that problem when I put one in a 75 4x4 Chevy Crew Cab.

It is a 96 12V motor going into the 99 F350. I have never personally seen this setup, but I have seen pictures online, the frame width of SDs is enough that the AC compressor clearance isnt an issue. I am building the motor for 450hp with a single, and 600 with twins later down the road. I'll have plenty of pics to post up, and progress to report as soon as the swap begins. Right now Im just getting the motor back together with a few goodies including fire rings from Scheid, marine pistons and injectors, 4000 rpm governor kit, a fuel plate and an ATS manifold. More to come......

Im stickin with the ZF6 that is in the truck for now. If it doesnt handle the power, then I will upgrade to an NV5600. But for now, it should live just fine.

Shoot I'd go with the 5600 while your in process. Forget that aluminum job and go for a real (stout) tranny.

I know several guys running 500hp through their ZFs with no problems at all. Im not disagreeing with you on the fact that the NV is a tough, and generally, tougher trans than the ZF but I think it will work out ok for me for now. Once the twins go on, and Im up at 600 or over, then itll probably start showing me what its really made of, but for 450hp, itll work well I think. Only one way to find out for sure......

6.0 and a VERY PROUD OWNER!! GREAT MOTOR!! It's my second 6.0 not because of problems I had an 03 before and it was great. Just became motivated to purchase the 05 model.

    Jeff

P.S. I would recomend this motor to any one.waytogo

You seem to have left off one very important engine configuration? Why I'm talking about the 5.9L Cummins. This is what is in my rig and I would think, it is what should be in most others, as well.
