What kind of tags do you have on your truck, and why?

KY is retarded. When I got my plates, they had these "standard issue" plates:

Nobody likes the smiley face, and neither did I. I could have put 6,000 lb tags on it, but if I hauled ANYTHING you can forget being legal. I know, there are thousands upon thousands of people who do it, and never get caught, but I didn't like that idea. I don't haul a lot (occasional U-Haul trailer or a 16 ft. flatbed with a vehicle on it) but even hauling the riding mower in the bed was putting my weight close to or over the limit.

I don't haul enough to warrant paying extra for 10,000 lb plates.

So, I opted for farm tags, rated at 38,000 lbs.

Initial Cost and Cost each time a new plate is issued:
    $15.00

    Annual Renewal Cost:
    $15.00

Ok, so I've been doing some new research, and they've changed quite a bit since I got my tags. Yeah, I've only had my diesel for about 2 months, but my last truck had farm tags, too.

Now KY has better looking plates. The standard issue 6,000 lb truck tags will no longer be available as of January 1, 2007.

The standard issue passenger plate may be issued to any non-commercial vehicle having a gross weight of less than 10,000 lbs.

I still like my Farm tags better.

These are mine. Cost an extra $30/year, but the money's supposed to go to fund wildlife diversity in Texas. I don't know how much actually ends up there, but it's the thought that counts, right?

I run the standard Illinois B-truck plates on mine. They are for any truck under 8000 pounds. It was explained to me that that is just for the weight of the truck, not including the trailer.

ROTFLMAO come on dubby next thing they will promote political correctness to wildlife in TX. Even the madam x will laugh at that.

I have IL D-plates on one just so I can legally tow my TD plated trailer, and F-plates on the other, GVW is the reason for the F-plates. Plus they both must go through safety inspections every 6 months.
