When I first joined this forum some time ago this was such a great place to gather information and to hear what others were doing in the diesel world. In the last few months I have noticed a steady decline in postings. I don't understand why. This is a great place to catch up on some cool ideas and really get in touch with some of the greatest folks around. I am going to challenge y'all to stop by more often and post up more and if you don't have anything going on in your own garage then why not post up on some other threads? LT.
Thanks for reminding me. This past weekend I put a new muffler on the 06. Dont get me wrong, love the strait pipe but with a trailer behind me its starting to get a little loud. So I got a Nelsen from Cummins Northwest, 4 inch inlet and outlet. I hung it just about evenly between the bed and back of the cab with a 45 degree turn down coming out of the muff and pointing to the ground. I can hear the engine again, a lot of whistle and it a nice quite rumble to it. Ill see about some pics.... B-
I was advertising this site for a while which really helps but simply can not afford to anymore, just need more people to spread the word, this can/is a great site we just need more people to post up!
I have been spreading the word as best as I know how. I have had good luck with this site and will remain on the forum. I was just wanting more posting, more feedback, and more users to write in. Is there a way we could also get an off road section up? I am sure that I am not the only one who enjoys their tow rig by towing their off road toys. Or maybe even a camping section. I would be willing to bet that there are a whole lot of folks that use their tow rigs as a recreational vehicle. LT.
Higher fuel costs were keeping allot of trucks parked and the econo boxes were being used. Mine sat allot, only to tow when needed. I recently filled the tank and stuck some fresh rubber to the rear quarters! burnout Plus fall means sports with the kids and out in the woods hunting when ever I can. waytogo
Good point. I had not thought of that. But, now the fuel prices are almost acceptable again. We should be out there wrenching on our rigs and showing off all the new parts and other things that we have done to them. I know that the holidays are just around the corner but, we can still get out and see what our mileage is and check on others as well. LT.
Ditto! Parked the diesel when it cost $165 for a tank fillup, and got an econobox. Use the truck as an RV tow rig ONLY, now, and THAT not too often... We're in a RECESSION right now, soon to crash into a DEPRESSION. I'm unemployed as of Nov. 24, and have no money and little interest in truck mods. Thank God the truck and camper are paid for, as my wife and I may be living in it under a bridge someplace if I lose the house...
