    About dyno results...

I plan to get results with the mods I've started doing to my 2004.5 LLY Duramax Silverado.

Would there be any interest in me running a baseline as stock then with each mod?

Right now I'm putting in the Banks PDA 6-gun/speedloader and have Banks Monster exhaust sitting in the garage waiting for a slightly warmer (and dryer) day.

Like I said, I plan on running on the dyno with/without cat, with stock and aftermarket air filter, and with various settings on the PDA, but can't decide if I should to a baseline run.

I'm also going to be tracking fuel milage with various settings.

If there would be interest, where should I post my results?

Yeah, that would be awesome, you can make a post in this forum, we might want to even make a tech article on it. waytogo

Okay, will do. I just got the tap to put the exhaust probe in, so I'll just need to schedule some dyno time.

I approached 4Wheel&OffRoad, Trucks!, DieselPower - nobody wanted a test truck to load crap on. At least nobody responded that is. I even asked Banks, but they already had two test trucks. A local Edge dealer told me they weren't interested in competitive testing (I told them I'd load the Banks system and the Edge system on the same truck to see which did better).

So, I'll do it myself (the Banks part anyway - I can't afford to buy both systems myself just to play with).

I'll get back with numbers as I collect them. So far I've only done fuel MPG tests with the factory computer load with petro-diesel and with bio-diesel at 20% then again with petro diesel with a new software factory load in the computer (there were some bug fixes) all on a factory-stock setup.

If you want me to write a tech, we can talk about that when I have more data...

I'll let you know after May Madness in Vegas with TDR. Planning on braking the 600hp level with the 06, plus they will have dirt drags and sled pulling. Never hooked before... May be fun!

I don't know the highest it'll go. In '04' it did 795hp and over 1500+torque on a Mustang 1750 in which they shut it off early (before the peak)because they though there was a leak (there wasn't). This was on a '02' Dmax CC dooley with a Allison. In later of '04' I ran it a little more tame at a big event and went 781hp and over 1500+torque in front of a crowd again (PFI Fort Collins CO). At this early of the Dmax development it was to hard for most to imagine that it was possible unfortunatly. Now thing are different and I have found more power in it. The motor has a hard time living through tests though till I get the fueling programing worked out correctly however.
