Im in the market for a 3 gauge a pillar pod and i have a few questions:

    1. Which gauges should i get im thinking pyro, boost, and tranny temp.
I have exhaust, a chip, going to put an intake, intake manifold and prolly water meth

2 which gauges match my 06 2500 best (i think the phantoms by autometer) but do they make any that are backlit green?

    3. when tapping holes what kind of tap do i use? arent there two kinds? and one is called like a pipe tap do i use that?

There is a company called Diesel Manor. They have guages that are perfectly matched to your existing guages. Here is their web site
    http://www.dieselmanor.com/gauges.asp

    Hope this helps.

We use the Danin Pricol gauges in the 3rd gen dodge. Match the dash great, green backlight, led lighting, very even, very clean.

Optix, D Pricol, is what I run and they are as close to factory that I have found.

I'm running Autometers Phantom II's in mine, plus a DiPricol rail pressure gauge that has to be the least trustworthy gauge I've ever bought .... reads what it wants after a bit, reset it and its fine then acts up again, etc....

My pyro gauge would read wrong too untill, I re read the directions and found that the instrument had to connected to switch power to enable it to reset when the truck starts up... been great ever since 2 years now. it was my inability to read directions not the gauge.

Thats how mine is hooked up.. and how I "reset" it while driving, just turn the key to start and let it do its thing.
