I get 17 not towing and about 10-13 towing 8500 lbs. depending on how flat the drive is. No. I'm definitely not loaded. I was only getting about 15 not towing until I did the intercooler.

I plan on adding a hypermax waste gated turbo, 3.5" downpipe, and 4" exhaust once I get the truck in drivable condition. Similar rigs were getting around 17-19 just regular driving. I can't wait, hopefully the truck is not in too bad condition.

I had a 93 CC Dually with 4:10 rear and auto. Did about 15-16 not towing and 10 towing 10,000lbs. Put a Banks Stinger kit on it and mileage picked up a little, towing was alot easier with not much gain in mileage.

Stinger would only put 8psi of boost in the engine because of the compression ratio being 23:1. It would excellerate like a rapped ape from 65 mph.

Also had banks trans command on it. Once the thing was set up and injection pump vacuum adjustment made correctly, you could not feel much when it shifted. I use to hate that tranny going onto the hwy. It never wanted to downshift like it was supposed to when pressing on the fuel pedal.

get between 15-17 empty highway, and city, abusing the truck with 225 70 tires, and a 4.10 rear, and a 5 speed. 70 mph is 2600 RPM's.
thats a 93 dually turbo truck

I used to have a 94 IDI with a factory turbo. The factory setup was wastegated at 6psi (USELESS) So after adjusting the wastegate to 13psi, and turning up the fuel to it, she pulled pretty hard for what it was. This was with a 3" ATS downpipe, and a 5" straight pipe exhaust. EGTs were still a concern due to the lack of an intercooler, but it towed well for what it was. The turbo addition will really make the truck seem like a new machine compared to the naturally aspirated setup. I never kept track of my mileage, but I never remember it being too poor when towing. Unloaded on the highway it was pretty good. I think 16 or 17, and that was with 42" tires.
