I am thinking about purchasing one of these for my '01.5 Dodge w/the 6-speed. I pull trailer every day, through town and on steep hills. My small trailer grosses 10,000#. Is the BD worth it or is there better out there.

Diesel nut does your customer have a manual tranny or an auto and do they use the shifter mount or on the dash? I am thinking of the shifter mount for mine, just for ease of use and for control. Do you know of eney body using these in winter conditions, for I live in north-eastern WA., want to know if they could have drawbacks on snowy & icey conditions.

do you remember which unit they are using? Is it the turbo mount or the in line remote mount 4" unit. I want to go to a 4" or 5" turbo back exhuast w/out the junk (a.k.a striaght pipe) and I dont know which would be best for that application.

His was a turbo mount and he is using the dash mounted switch with his 6 speed. Works great with the cruise control and everything. As for Icy conditions, I feel they engage smooth enough you should not have too many issues. If you are concerned, disarm the brake.

    5" exhaust brake

Currently I believe Pacbrake is the only exhaust brake manufacture with a Pressure Regulated exhaust brake in 5”. You have the option of a dash switch or a shifter switch. Each kit comes with its on board air system that you can built upon later. It is not recommended using an exhaust brake in icy or snowy conditions.

BD does not yet build the 5" remote mount, even though I have been hounding them for about a year on it. Some day, I guess.
