I asked my gf get in my truck and just drive it forward a few feet so I could open the tail gate. When she was getting ready to shut it down, I heard a loud crash/crack and she goes, " I think I broke something." I heard all this over a straight piped 12v....So I go to investigate, and instead of stepping on the parking brake, she stepped on the brake controller and broke it off the dash and into three pieces. :doah:

Soooo, now I need a new brake controller. It's on her so I want a good one. :D What can ya'all reccomend as far as controllers?

Ha, I actually have a pic of my GF driving my Ram. rotfl I'll have to find it somewhere. She did great, through the surface streets and a little interstate....and we were pulling a small trailer too.

I'd go with one of the three Burt mentioned, I think I'm going with the Prodigy myself.

Another vote for Prodigy. By far the most cost effective, and simplest to install. Last time I checked www.rjays.com had the best deal going on Prodigys.

After some more research, and reading on some rv forums, I decided to go with the Jordan Ultima 2020. $98.99 from rvwholesalers. From what I read, the top 3 controllers are the BrakeSmart, Jordan Ultima 2020 and the Tekonsha Prodidgy in that order. I'd be into the Brakesmart $350 or so with the harness and other required stuff. I should let my gf step on more stuff... Maybe I could end up with a new rig period. :D:D

I have, and do let her drive the DMAX. She is pretty good at wheeling it around. She likes the extra power, smoke and big tires. Luckily the brake controller is out of the way enough to not step on.. :D

The first time mine drove my truck I thought I was going to get whip-lash !
She decided she wanted to drive after we fueled up at a truck stop because I was sick as a dog. I agreed and told her to just take off in 1rst gear figuring it would be easier and limit her speed in the parking lot but man was i wrong.
She gave it enough throttle and popped the clutch like she was drag racing! The truck lurched forward and scared her so she let off and than the bucking and jumping got worse as she could not stop hitting the throttle and letting off and screaming all at the same time.
Folks at the pumps were all looking at us as I killed the motor by turning the ignition switch off and got out and checked to see if the drive shaft was still there. One guy hollard out to me that he had never seen a full size truck pull the front wheels off the ground......( I hope he was exagerating ) . Anyway , I ended up driving home after that - I just didn't think the poor truck could take a second gear shift from her !

I don't have a girlfriend right now so I plan on finding a girl to match the truck, instead of vice versa. It's going to be hard work though. :doah: Good redneck girls are hard to find around here, most of them are either already taken by some ricer retard, or are just plain butt ugly.

10 years ago I woulda loved to find a "redneck" chick... Now I think they're worse than redneck guys. Would rather have a classy, feminine, sophisticated lady. And thats what I have. (Ask burt about this, I think his wife would fit into that catagory quite well.) She drives a Lexus RX330... Shes drives my Ram just fine too. She's only 5'1" and my power seats quit working, so she couldn't adjust the seat forward to reach the petals. Thats why she stepped on the brake controller instead of the parking brake lever. No worries, I've got a pretty bad ass controller on the way... On her dime too. :pimp: :pimp:

My GF is pretty girly(read:hot, and into shopping not trucks) Been together about a year. took her wheelin a few times and she loved it ( made me let her drive). Got the truck about a month ago and she drove it the first day. Last week I finally convinced her to tow the work/jeep trailer (16' Big Tex tandem flatbed) and she did great. Was a little nervous but she said she would do it again anytime. She especially liked how the brakes on the trailer grabbed a little more than the ones on the truck.

P.S. Im running the tekonsha Voyager (bottom of the line) and I think it works great.
