I was thinking to drain it from the bottom in case there is water in it - it would be down there and come out first, no?

Found a burned CTD in the desert. Engine worth anything? If not, it's going to the scrap yard.
Any ideas? The A/C bogs it down and it gradually slows down until it dies while idling.
