    I have read that a new engine should be broke in with regular dino oil..after the first 10-15K miles then synthetic can be used...any leaks will...

    Duramax normal operating temp

    Ya I would guess emissions and maybe cuz of the higher compression thease engines are running...?

    Duramax normal operating temp

    The gage for mine is about 200-205 all the time..my tranny looks like about 150-160...:D
