Well I borrowed a smarty! waytogo Now I have to figure out which download to run with my comp for a towing test. Haven't had a chance to drive the truck yet, but it has the #3 download right now.

quick question: if a tuner says it increases fuel pressure but it doesnt go beyond the factory set max.; then it shouldnt hurt the stock injectors would it? i havent heard anyone running the banks ottomind 6 but i have heard great things about them with the built in safe-guards. i too want a tuner or stack but dont want to destroy my engine in 200k miles or my fuel system in no time.

How much HP are you looking for?

I pull 450HP with out even thinking about increasing fuel pressure. Timing, Duration only... still have injectors to do if I want more, I am not a big fan ff fuel pressure kits on a C/R unless your trying to build a race truck.

    My 2 cents

not a whole lot, not more than 50-100 hp. my truck is a daily driver. it sees ave. of 25000 miles a year and i pull my toy hauler with it. i dont want to hurt my trans. and i want to gain mpg. my trailer ways up to 10500 maybe 11000 FULLY loaded.

I towed with the smarty on #3 and the power was smoother than my edge comp. But the smoke was like a freight train at take off. I ended up running the smarty on #2 and turned on the edge comp and ran it 3x3. Lot less smoke and it pulled better. I tried the #9 on the smarty by itself and wasn't impressed. Maybe I need bigger injectors and a turbo upgrade to see the power. Though im not building a race truck. Being my comp is already paid for ill keep it. I think an upgrade from 40hp to 100hp injectors would do me fine for a tow rig. Had no problems with egts.
