Fuel filter changed every other oil change, about every 15k or so. Local Cummins shop charges $12 bucks for the filter, FG Stratopore of course.

Oil and oil filter every 4k and fuel every 8k. As said already, it's cheap so why not. Stop and go driving and tons of heat cycles are a completely different ball game compared to an OTR truck that drives a 1000 miles a day. Try driving an OTR truck to the grocery store 1/2 mile a way each day and to work a mile away each day and have the oil analysed.

Every third or fourth oil change? That would be like every 20-30K? You should ideally change it every 10-15K.

Not everybody waits 10k to change there oil like you do. He may change his oil every 4k which means he does his fuel filter every 12-16k.

It only takes one bad batch of fuel to ruin your day! This is why I recommend that you always carry a spare. Doubly important in the winter time.

The cummins spec says every 15K.

I change mine every 15-25K. I'm running a high end synthetic which easily allows me to extend my drain intervals out that far, far as I know Grant is running a conventional brand, which is still good for half the mileage I run.

There is no need to ever drain quality pretroleum oil out of these trucks at 4K in almost any application except for race only. If you don't believe me, believe your service manual. Dodge/Cummins calls for 15K if you drive long distances and don't hardly tow, 7.5K if you drive hard, tow lots, and have short trips.
