I don't even have a tow rig yet but when I get one, which will be here pretty soon, it's going to be a 4x4 and most likely it won't be a dually.

I just picked up another one. It is also a 4X4. The only way to go as far as I am concerned. Where I live a two wheel drive is just useless.

While not in to harsh a climate I do go places that make 2wd useless at times and as I have said in the past it only takes one time for you to wish you had it and you didnt buy it.

    4 x 4 dually tow rig

I have the dually, 4x4 I need all the towing traction I can get to get my boat out of the water on a slippery ramp, normally I have no wheel spin at all, I put it in Low 4x4 locked and loaded.. Creeper gear is where it's at, unadultrated thundering cathedrals of torque, pumping power to all the axles.

got stuck with my dodge last weekend in my front yard....thought the ground was solid enough :) well, about 60 yards in my truck all of the sudden sunk down. Then I got stuck with my chevy trying to pull out the dodge not having long enough chains... >>>> fun weekend. Lesson learned. 4x4 is worth s!*% if you don't have good tires. Both my trucks have stock tires on...for about 10 -15k more miles.

    2wd or 4x4

As Burned Bronco said buy 2wd cheap. If you buy a 2wd you will most likley sell it cheap.I have had 1Bronco 2 that was 2 wheel drive and a F350 dually 2wd drive and lost more money on them than any 4x4 that I have owned.I really do not need 4x4 but watching resale prices that is the only way I will go;)

One single rear wheel 4x4 F350
One dual rear wheel Dodge 3500 4x4
    Wouldn't own a gasser
Wouldn't own a two wheel drive
    Why limit your self?
In my line of work a truck is a tool and It has to perform in all circumstances.
Why have a $45,000 truck that's useless in bad weather? Mayaswell buy a Corvette.JMHO.

had a 3500 dually sold it for my 2500 single wheel. i was not towing anything heavy enuff to justify the dually. plus they were killing me on bridge tolls. and now i am in a spot where i might need the dually again but i will have to wait till my boggin truck is done to know that answer...
