Beat a 7.3 today, sorry Budkole. ;) We were on the highway and I was pacin him after he had passed me. He punched it at about 70, and we went up to 100, with me having to slow down 3 times so as to not hit him (he was in my lane). There were a few cars in front, so he slowed down, and I went by in the next lane, he fell back.

A few minutes later, I was doin about 70, and I see him closin FAST! He was goin at least 90, so I floored it again up to 105, and the poor guy started gettin smaller in the rear view. He didn't want to play no mo after that and exited off soon after.

I bet the other drivers got a scare when they saw two huge trucks followin each other at over 100. These trucks are so strong (any of them), so fun to race another one.

I did see a Duramax smoke alot of imports and domestic cars and trucks this weekend at the drag strip out of ten races only losing two.I have to say I was very impressed with the trucks capability.

Funny, the other day I was driving the wifes car and as I pulled up along side the passenger side of a Powerstroke at a red light (it had 5" exhaust etc.) I rolled up my window, the Wife said "what are you doing it's 90 degrees out" I told her, when you see a diesel exhaust that big and your parked right next to it, you might want to roll the windows up. Sure enough, black smoke everywhere. :D

So I am leaving work yesterday morning and a guy I work with is right behind me. He has a 99 F-250 7.3 that is in the shop right now so he's driving a loaner truck. We have a long access road into our place of employment. I look in my mirror and see him ease out beside me in the opposite lane. I have already got my comp set on 5-5(I know how he is and wanted to be ready just in case[IMG] ).I had to let off at 115mph because egt's were at 1450* (time for a new exhaust)and I was running out of road anyway. When he caught up at the traffic light we were both laughing our a**es off. I'm not sure how far ahead I was for all the smoke but it took him a little while to pull up next to me[IMG] .

He's got the 7.3 back today and we will be running the same stretch of road tomorrow. I'll let y'all know what happens.

There was a cocky "my diesel is the baddest thing" idiot on the interstate a while back... but he couldn't even keep up with the 4.0 Explorer I was driving. I guess you could call him a diesel ricer? He thinks he is cool, but really isn't.

more of a chase than a race ok this happened 2 mornings ago....takin a cruise through the country here in central illinois before work when my buddy/co-worker says hey theres a coyote. where, rite there ok i see it lol turn off the main road onto a gravel farm access road the yote sees us and is like oh **** takes off crosses the access drive and into a bean field im in hot pursuit keep in mind stock truck here with exception to the engine and exhaust mods. stock tires and all and mine werent the allterrains i had the michelin street tires and at 40 000 miles theya rent in the greatest of shape. hit the bean field at about 35 man major rumble strip fields have been froze solid for over a week no give at all...catch up to him he does a quick side juke and does a180 i whip it around and he does this a few more times i finally get him in to the controlled circle chase that you use to wear them out before you take em out. just chasin him in a big loop a few times. finally he stumbles and i get antsy and get on hi ass again but hes not done yet and pulls a move that would impress barry sanders i would have corralled him again but we were to close to a tree line and he got away would have made a nice trophy kill as far as coyotes go he was a pretty big one but he deserved to get away i guess lol he gave me and my truck all i wanted im supprised my truck didnt fall apart if yall never went tear assing through a frozen field in a stock truck i wouldnt reccomend it lol so i got smoked by wild e coyote if i coulda hooked up(need new tread) i would have had him oh well excuses excuses excuses

ok i got my ass handed to me the other night...suburuski wrx, not becase of the trucks performance but because of the drivers...hung it shifting from 2nd to 3rd damn 6 speed lol so there wasnt much of a race at all realy. i like those cars and wanted to see how fast they really were, it looked pretty quick but then again i wasnt rollin to damn fast lol all i know is by the time i got er back in gear the wrx was a way in front of me oh well maybe next time ya win some ya lose some... i do hate it being a driver error though
