I have a 2006 Dodge RAM 3500 5.9/ 24V HO cummins with a Check gauges light that was coming on after a short drive time. Now the engine symbol is showing and the check gauges light has gone. Don't know what to do at this point. I can have the ECU or PCU rebuilt if needed but I don't want to chase rabbits or just parts change. Dealer said it needed a ECU but then said maybe also an ALT. So at that point I got real cold feet. I can change parts and chase a problem if this is all I am going to get from the Dealer. Please advise. Still runs great but have no desire to damage anything.
