Honestly, look at a Gear Vendors over drive first. Get them RPMs under control, then look a tunning it.

Then, there is Bully Dog, Superchips, Edge Juice/Attitude.

    what do you tow?

4.88's in an F450 is going to be some high revs at hwy speeds.
As the previous post states, look into an overdrive unit.
    GearVendors comes to mind.

I have the 4.88's, also. Mileage is secondary to me, though. I get about 13 unloaded and 10 with the camper on.

Had a gear vendor unit in my old f350 and love3d it. It definately helps. I recently installed a S&b intake, turbo back exhaust, and spartan tuner in my '09 f350. Fuel economy jumped about 5 miles to the gallon( Hand calculated). The massive new power is nice too!
