I just bought a trailer for my bussiness. I got a great deal on it and after bringing it home I noticed that it seems it was previously a tandem axle. After further inspection it seems as if it never had spring equalizers, just two seperate axles and springs with shackles. Has anyone ver seen a trailer like this? This trailer used to be a dump trailer, not a large one but perfect for say a golf cart. Its 12ft w/o tongue. I would like to put it back to tandem. Should I try to put it back the way it seems to have been or weld correct hangers for a equalizer type setup. thanx
I've seen them like that with the 2 seperate axles, not quite sure of the concept behind it though. I would probably go back with the equalizer set up on it if it were mine.
