Sorry Greg, lately my schedule has been, go to work, stop at the Y on the way home, go home and fall asleep, lady gets out of work at 9, then find myself getting home and or to bed by 1-2am and waking up at 6.

But im sure you dont want to see any pitchers of that lol

    Driveshaft question:

A factory K10 has a 2 piece driveshaft. Couple folks I know swear using one piece is okay, total length would be 67"

What say all you? Seems like that might invite some drive line whip.

Eric told me I could run a one-piece in Mutt, in place of the 2 piece and stoopid carrier bearing.. but they would need to up the tube diameter...

I'm a little confused. Are you talking about the rear driveshaft for a standard-length 4WD square-body pickup? Both my K10 pickup and K10 suburban have one-piece driveshafts. I had a two-piece with carrier bearing in a C20, but I have yet to see a carrier bearing behind a transfer case in a short truck.

    ...

Just ran outside to check mine, and my length from yoke to yoke is about 54". I think we're talking about different trucks. :dunno:

Thats good to hear. Any issues with it?
I will be going up to a 1350 joint as well as increasing the tube size and wall.

apparently it's a pretty common deal.... not running one yet, but once I swap in the 6BT/NV4500, I'll have one built...

there is tube length max before the tube starts to hoop at speed .

I had a 2 piece in my k30 c&c 135" wheel base truck . it needed work and I had a 1 piece that was correct length . swaped in no problems . except 65mph - up it had little vibe . drive line shop checked it and said for my truck combo it was this or back to a 2 piece shaft . the shaft was also 1350 slip on shaft style and aftermarket thick wall bigger dia tube.

I`ve never seen a k10 reg cab long box with anything other than a one piece shaft!? I could measure mine if you like, but it would have to be tomorrow.
