$0.00 for me too. I pay just over $200/month on the TT, but we're working on refinancing that down to $150 or so so that we can pay it off by end of year. My wife and I aren't quite as disciplined as all you "cash only" folks, but we try to not buy anything that we can't pay for within six months to a year. (I guess it's also good to note that we both come from families that eat cars; nobody ever worries about resale or trade in value - used vehicles are for giving to a younger family member or for setting aside for specific uses.)

    Oh, and in regards to
    Nope.

Well, you might want to rethink that.

I bought an older truck and put so much into it that I'd have been better off to have bought new.

You never know how badly a used diesel pickup has been cared for till you start seeing things fall apart. Expenses run up FAST. Warranty coverage is GOOD.

I sold the old truck and am sitting at $650 a month. I said I'd never carry a truck payment more than about $500 a month, but we were upside down on my trade (wife's high mileage base model Silverado that was falling apart at only 6 years old.)

You only live once, and life is meant to be enjoyed. This'll be my last new truck for another 15 years or so... by then, I'll be nearly 50 years old and most of the kids will be on their way to college, hopefully with a scholarship, or to the military.

Air Force all the way, baby.

As of april of 06 my truck is finally paid off. This was the first truck I have ever kept long enough to pay off. After I get some of my other bills taken care of I would like to buy a newer one.
