I have got a 20' low boy goosenck, steel deck, tandem 7K axles with brakes on both. I have got to do some work to it, it needs some serious wiring work and some frame repair thanks to the PO booger welding the frame when they built it, snapped the welds on one side like a twig first time I loaded my 6K lb K5 on it:doah:. But it will be stronger than new the I am done, if I ever get it done, really sad when you own a trailer and still have to bum one off your friends to go wheelingoke: . Krennen
I guess I'm in the minority. I tow a 2005 Sierra Sport F37 - 38.5 foot toyhauler. Here's a pic of the truck and trailer, and one of my quads that goes inside. waytogo Marc
I tow a 2003 Big Tex 80PI 16' tandem bumperpull. 8000 GVW, 2brake axles. custom built rack that is super heavy duty and removeable I dont have any pics yet but I will post them when I get em. Here is the link to the manufacturer. This is the 10kgvw model but ours is the same color and built exactly the same. http://www.bigtextrailers.com/spec/10pi.html Also have a 1996 Az-Cal (yeah never heard of it either) 5x10 3500GVW
Here is one of my new trailers... 16' homebuilt car trailer. MH axles and tires, looks like the springs are the main leaf from the MH with the other leaves tossed in the scrap pile. Rides like a brick when empty! Can't tell its back there once I have a load on it though. Other trailer is a 1968 2 horse bumperpull. That one tows great empty or loaded until I get an unruley horse throwing it's weight around.
That trailer sounds a lot like mine. I built it to haul the cemetery backhoe and my K5 trail rig (when it's finished). It's 18' overall but it has a 2' drop. It's on a pair of 5K MH axles which haven't given me a lick of trouble in 11 years. I also now tow with an 85 F350 dump truck instead of the F250 in the picture.
Heck, looks like nice rolling hills. Hellov alot better than the flat valley I live in :doah: I'm a hillbilly stuck in the valley rotfl
So you have a cross hillbilly/valley girl accent? rotfl I love my mountains, and will never leave em again. But it's tough towing on them with a gasser.
hahahaha rotfl ,hang in there...someday you will get the towrig of your dreams imp: took me years to get mine.... Burt
14k lb PJ 18' w/2' dovetail. Pretty much every option. Fold up ramps, x-members on 12" centers... Theres 18 of them under there. Tow rig specs in sig...
I didn't buy it. It belongs to my gramps... Althought I'm the only one that ever uses it. If I didn't use it, the thing would prolly still be sitting right were he parked it after buying it. Hes an obsessive toy collector. imp:
